How can we understand what God thinks about something, about an action, or about us?

For example, what is Satan like, is he very compassionate or is he more strict, things like that.

Through Meditation and experiences with them.

Caring what others think of you shows a lack of self-esteem. You are who you are, if your actions are inconsistent with the virtues the Gods want you to uphold it will be made blatantly obvious to you.

You cannot live your life based on what other people's expectations of you are. You can never please everyone. Only yourself. So be you.

Be careful not to fall into the Christian trap here. What they think about every single personal thing you do isn't important here. I doubt they even think about what we do, they're probably like "whatever" and mind their own business. It's their false belief of Christianity that their god monitors their every move and judges them based on what they do, but Satan and the Demons don't mind at all people's personal lives. Your Guardian Demon (for example) may give you some advice if what you do eat harms your personal advancement and/or tell you what to eat for better health and spiritual progress and it's your own choice whether to do what they say or not, but they don't judge you based on that.

You may ask now "but how can we know if we do something that disrespects them"? Very simple: if you intend to disrespect them by that action, they will be angry. If you don't intend so, they will not. They read your intentions most of all, not your actions. Normally if a person asks that question, they don't intend to disrespect them. The people who do simply don't care what the Gods think because they just want to control and use the Demons for their own personal gain. These are usually the people who get punished by the Demons, not the average Spiritual Satanist who doesn't mean to disrespect them.
