Hi. When I pricked my index finger with a needle, instead of a signature, I touched the paper with my finger, the blood was left on it. If the signature was not written, was the initiation completed?

I did the same at my dedication ritual 7 years ago. After I poked my finger, I spread the blood on it and "stamped" the paper with the idea that my fingerprint would have far more value than a signature.
My ritual worked so I'm pretty sure yours did as well if you had pure intentions.
Question:
I performed the ritual. I could barely get any blood on the paper, is the ritual still valid?
Answer:
YES!! The amount of blood does not matter, this is only a formality. What is in our hearts and what our intentions are, are much more important than the amount of blood in our signature.
Yes.
I actually believe that your finger print with blood is actually 100x better in any way rather than writing your name with blood that your parents randomly gave you.

I didn't write my signature in blood, I didn't have the means to do so. I wrote it with a pen and I dabbed my bloody finger over it to coat my signature. It was successful.
You did your best to follow the instructions and if you have true intentions then it went through. Don't stress over it or any of the little things.
Our blood has our own unique spiritual and material energy. This is why we tell people not to worry if they didn't get to sign their full name with their blood as it's still valid. As long as the paper has your blood in it and your intentions are honest and true then the ritual was a success.
