Question #1315: This upcoming capricorn esbat

1. Is it okay to do anything ruled by saturn during that time since saturn will be retrograde?

2. The sign of Capricorn is halfway into my 7th and 8th houses natally. I also have a natal saturn retrograde; I would like to fix those houses a bit by doing something saturn related, i'm not sure if I can because the moon would be waxing (unless thats a good time to do it).

I also wanted to do another obolishing saturn working, but the moon is waxing at that time.

1)If everything else is coordinated, yes, you can perform Saturnini work.

Waxing moons are best for building aspects of yourself, whereas waning moons are best for removing obstacles and other negative karma. In regards to the moon signs themselves, any of the earth signs will be ok for a Saturn-style working, with Capricorn being the best. The day and hour of Saturn are also ideal, of course.

"Abolishing" Saturn is a harsh term because you want to retain its positive aspects of discipline and discernment of reality. Instead, you are shaving off its negative restrictions and leaving the positives.

For any negative karma removal, start during a waning moon, ideally on the signs of Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, or Scorpio, as these all pertain to removal or detachment from negativity, in their own ways. Use Munka, Ansuz, or Uruz for this.
