From what i've recently observed and saw here and there, is that people lack persistence and patience. Specially new members. HPS Maxinne and Cobra always quote that pesistence is the key, not only in stanaism but in life in general. A big cause of this and a big turnoff are failures, especially when you are young. But we all start as beginners, and we all have had failures and mistakes. But those same failures can make one stronger than anybody. History proves this. Every great leader have had their downs and ups. The Fuhrer wasn't accepted into the art school even after numerous entrance exams. But we all know who he became later. The isshinshishi, japanese revolutionaries against the shogunate, triumphed in 1867 after years of persecution and numerous inner conflicts and losses between 1858-1864, and successfully restored the emperors political power and made japan the greatest country in east asia. The same in germany. Between 1920-1932 the NSDAP suffered many losses, the biggest of them being the 1923 coup d'etat. But in the end, they succeeded in becoming a majority in the Reichstag and take over germany. Lets remember the fuhrers words, that slyscorpion has as his signature. "Those who want to live, let them fight. But those who don't want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live." Chinggis Khaan, who is the founder of the greatest empire of the 2nd millennium, and the only man who earned the title of the man of the millenium and the greatest conqueror in history, lost many battles before becoming Chinggis Khaan. The central asia was in chaos when he was born as Temujin, as tribal warfare continued, he and his family were abandoned his own following the death of his father Yesukhei, who was the former leader of the Khian borjigon tribe, and there was once a time his tribe faced downfall as his greatest ally, Tooril, leader of the Khereids and sorn brother of his father betrayed. But he never gave up, nor did his rivals gave him the opportunity to. On the day of his coronation as Genghis Khaan and the foundation of the Mongol empire in 1206, following the subjugation and unification of all nomadic tribes said to his followers and comrades "No matter how deep a sea, and how high a mountain, never bother the distance. You will eventually reach it as long as you keep advancing." The lack of persistence and patience however, can be disastrous, not only to yourself but those who surround you. One example of that would be Mongolia in the 20th century. Mongolia is the only country who claimed its sovereignty and independence from china following the downfall of the Qing dynasty in 1911. But sadly, to much regret, not all mongolian territories could do so. We lost our inner mongolian brothers to the communists. Internationally, russia and japan who were our only allies against the chinese at the time, didn't support the reunification of outer and inner mongolia alright, but the biggest reason for this was inner mongolian nobles at the time weren't persistent enough with the revolution and the fight for independence. Most of them turned back to the chinese after 1913. They were deceived by the cheap promises of the Kuomintang. Many great warriors were of inner mongolian origin, but they couldn't become majority. And now look what is happening in inner mongolia. The prohibition of traditional mongolian script, their only national immunity is being imposed.
Persistence and patience is the key to not only advancement but also to survival. These two together with hard work can get you anywhere. Lets end this post with the motto of the NSDAP.
"Arbeit macht frei, Saat und Ernte" (Working is freedom, sow what you reap)"
