There can be multiple factors in place. One of the questions is what do you exactly mean by the opposite things? For example, if this would be a career choice, would you assume the Gods being in opposition if one of the Gods would suggest you go towards one career path (e.g., become a doctor), and another would suggest to you another path for the career (e.g., become a computer scientist)? If this would be the case, in your place I would not assume this is opposition. Instead, it might be that Gods have a position of your career choice to be not so relevant regarding your path as SS. Or they expect you to make the actual choice all by yourself. Or maybe they even want you to experience two opposing career choices to get richer life experience if this would be somehow beneficial to you. In other words, to fully fulfill your life you might need a specific set of experiences, and the Gods might actually be giving you opposing (in your view) information, so this would shake some of your feelings, and you would be stimulated to go deeper into your own soul.
If I were you, I would try to get more information about the whole situation, so I can find not the middle way, but the solution that just "clicks" with me. If I would still be unable to find this desired "click", then I would probably throw a dice, and go with whatever choice I would roll in this case if there would be really a necessity to make some choice. This might take some time as this might be related to very deep matters in the soul. If you have some abilities to discover it yourself in a reasonable amount of time, and this is really necessary for your development, I would assume the Gods would not give you the straight answer, but put you on the path towards discovery about yourself.
I would say we should trust the Gods, and from the sermons I have read here, I already understood the Gods will never give us answers similar to the winning lottery ticket numbers unless this would be so necessary that without it the whole world would collapse. Yes, the Gods are very flexible, and they might come with very unexpected decisions. Of course, trusting does not mean following and worshiping them blindly like some xian zealot as this would be insulting to them. If we really need some understanding and motivation behind their decision, we are free to ask about this. This is not xianity, and we are very welcome to be free, constructive and critically thinking people.
And finally since this is real Spirituality, we should really respect and trust the Gods. Respect and trust is a two way street here. Gods did show us respect and trust even given how dirty and inexperienced our souls are. They did so by influencing us to come here, and study Spirituality that can empower us. And they trusted we will use this knowledge in a wise way. We actually can use this in very evil ways as the law of free will works here for real. So the Gods who are inviting us here also take a risk. But their risk is definitely a calculated one as they can see us clearly. So based on our highest abilities we should try showing this well deserved trust and respect. Sometimes, it is really hard to do so, but we still should try no matter what.
HAIL SATAN!
