On fate and free will

Greetings brothers and sisters!
I was meditating on the idea of fate and free will and it confuses me quite a bit.
If we can tell what's to happen in the future down to every event using astrology then where is the free will?
How much of what me and you are right now is a result of our choices trough free will and how much of it is the illusion of a choice we had which was under the influence of the planets and would've led to the same result regardless.
For example say I decided to stop smoking and stopped.But if you check the transit there is some indication this was to happen anyway.In this case did I choose to stop smoking or was it the planets that chose for me leaving me with the illusion that it was my will?
Apologies for the schizo rambling but it's food for thought.
A bit of clarification on this matter would be very appreciated.

Most people don't have free will. That's what being a slave or non awake is about. They are completely at the mercy of planets for random events in their lives good or bad as well as other energies and curses. All they can do is look up transits and hope for the best with this.

Meditating and evolving allows more and more free choice as people get higher. They can be able to sublimate or direct transits into stuff they would like instead of random events or themes they take control of it themselves. It is possible also to be above the influence of some negative stuff or at least ride it out with meditation without anything bad happening.

So far as the general direction of nations or humanity. Since most people have no free will this will determine a lot of what happens. It doesn't have to be this way. The same transits can mean something totally different or could on a higher level.
Pisces for example could have been an advanced age where many meditated a lot and achieved Godhood and beautiful in many ways like many of the people with a lot of Pisces who are evolved are like. Instead you see what we have today.

In order to have free choice we have to evolve.
