Many know the the story of Odin sacrificing an eye to obtain the knowledge of the runes. This story of Odin is also echoed in one of the stories of Vishnu who we know is Satanas who sacrificed his eye to Shiva. Not many have heard this story about Vishnu however I believe it is important because it highlights the similarity between the two stories which are about the exact same god we all know and love.

"In this way, lord Vishnu, reciting a thousand names of Shiva, worshipped the bull bannered lord. Then lord Visnu, bathed lord Siva and adored with him the lotus flowers. In order to test the devotion of Visnu, lord Siva, concealed one of the lotus flowers leaving 999 flowers. With the disappearing of the lotus flower, Visnu thought- “How has it happened?" Finding the disappearing of a lotus, Visnu (who is known as having lotus like eyes) took out one of his eyes and then worshipped lord Siva who is the refuge of all, besides being the preceptor of the universe. He worshipped the lord uttering his last name." (Linga Purana 1.98)

Alas, alas, at the very end of his offering, Vishnu found that there were only 999 lotuses. He was very, very sad because one lotus was missing. Vishnu began searching and searching for that lotus. Finally, he decided it was a hopeless case, so he plucked out his left eye. His eye also looked like a beautiful lotus. Vishnu put his eye in front of him, and with that eye he worshipped Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva immediately came and stood in front of Vishnu. He could not believe that Vishnu would do this kind of thing. Lord Shiva was so pleased with him. Then Shiva said, “I will give you my Sudarshan chakra, this round disc."

Vishnu? isnt Vishnu part of indian or asian culture or something?
Vishnu was a part of the original Vedic gods who were Aryan. The Ancient Greeks recognized one of Vishnu's avatars Krishna as Hercules and Rama as Dionysus. The Ancient Greeks recognized that many of the figures worshipped Ancient India were a long line of Aryan Greek kings that went back thousands of years. The indians and asians have simply preserved the Aryan religion albeit in a corrupt way. But they still worship the same gods we do. Kali is Lilith, Shiva is Satan, Indra is Zeus and so on. I myself am 100% European and Greek not indian or asian at all, but there are still many interesting stories from those cultures.
