There's now a vaccine in trial phase to prevent opioid overdose. Hmm. So to counterattack opioid overdose and abuse, instead of banning opioids and/or looking to stop the flow of illegal opioids, they sort to a vaccine. "Opioids are ok, just get the jab." - some oy vey, probably.

It's like a pass to use opioids. This is fueling opioid use in my opinion. People won't have the fear of overdose because they'll just get yet another vaccine. This is being claimed to be used to prevent a relapse in existing users as well as a way to prevent overdose.

This sounds like a promotion of vaccines. The medicine in question does not seem to me to be doing the role and function of vaccines, or am I wrong?

Promotion by the party's involved you mean right? I'm not promoting vaccines lol.

Also, regardless of what it is, it's stupid. A vaccines is not needed for opioid abuse. What needs to be done is stopping the illegal opioid trade.

And also, even more so than the illegal business, stop prescribing opioids legally for simple stupid things. In the states, and I don't know if it's true in other countries, every little surgery or dental procedure or similar and you get prescribed with an opioid pain killer. And not just opioids, drugs in general. If your kid is not sitting and staring at the blackboard like a soulless zombie then prescribe adderall/ ritalin. Have a little anxiety? Xanax. Depression? Anti-depressants.

I was referring to the companies that came up with this, even Biden seems to be involved.
