New Polish legislation treats sex education as ’paedophilia’

On Wednesday Polish lawmakets voted in favour of a bill to criminalise ’the promotion of underaged sexual activity’. The new bill, known as the ’Stop Paedophilia’ law, aims to send sex educators to jail for up to five years. Protesters gathered outside the parliament and in cities across Poland slamming the law as a disgrace while brandishing placards such as ’Banning sex education is rape’.
