Which do you think is better?

In my personal experience fasting weakens the willpower and therefore energy buzz but if I chant on a full stomach that also seems to give me a weaker buzz.

If I chant while eating 3 meals a day but on an empty stomach, like right before dinner, the buzz seems to be much more powerful.

The Vatas talk about this, one should eat until their stomach is 75 percent full not stuffing themselves or starving but in moderation, if you really enjoy food as I do then wait a little while after eating before meditation.

Neither. Something in the middle. This applies to meditation and asana practice. This has been explained in JoS and if I recall correctly HP HC has mentioned this as well. Or maybe it was just Maxine. Either way, that's the way.

Can you link me where? I only read that fasting is bad, but nothing about before/after food meditations.

Depends on your energies and much more things, the actual meditation and so on. Take a break and rest from spiritual things when you have a full stomach, a half an hour to one hour seems alright after you ate. I personally prefer even 2 hours.

It's merely common sense. Practicing asanas with too full of a belly is not going to go well the same as with hunger disturbing.

Well that is common sense but I'm not talking about Asanas, I want to know if full stomach/empty stomach has an effect upon chanting.

It's the same, and HP HC mentioned that in his topic as well. When you are physically disturbed in some sense it follows that meditational pursuits will suffer from those disturbances.

Focusing right after a meal is more difficult. Being too hungry is not good either.
