MILAN (AP) — An 89-year-old Auschwitz survivor who is a senator-for-life in Italy has unwittingly provoked one of the country's most intense confrontations with anti-Semitism since the end of Italy's Fascist dictatorship during World War II.

In response to revelations that she is subject to 200 social media attacks each day, Liliana Segre called for the creation of a parliamentary committee to combat hate, racism and anti-Semitism. Parliament approved her motion — but without votes from Italy's right-wing parties.

A man who fought against Isis in Syria has been jailed for a terror offence in a landmark court case.

Aidan James denied the charges but was convicted following a retrial.

The 28-year-old was convicted of one count of attending a place used for terrorist training in Iraq, because the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) had been present.

A jury acquitted him of a second count of the same offence, over training with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), in Syria.

Kate Ramsden: Labour election candidate quits over likening Israel to a child abuser

A Labour general election candidate has quit after it emerged she likened the actions of the Israeli government to those of a child abuser.

Kate Ramsden stood down over a blog in which she also reportedly alleged that antisemitism claims against Jeremy Corbyn were "orchestrated by the wealthy establishment”.

The candidate, for the Scottish constituency of Gordon, said she was resigning for “personal reasons” after being challenged by the party, Labour said.

The controversy blew up as John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, came under fire for claiming Labour had done all the Jewish community had asked for to tackle its antisemitism problem.

About the second one, so people who were actual Isil members were allowed to return to England and act like nothing ever happened, and didn't get in any trouble. But the heroes fighting against Isil are considered by the England government to be the bad ones and get in a lot of trouble?

It reminds me of that Scottish welder who was almost convicted of a hate crime, and the only thing he did was to hang up a Scottish flag in front of his shop. You can't have a Scottish flag in Scotland! But then some Isil members hung up an Isil flag in Scotland, and they didn't get in any trouble!

It's like the EU is just directly telling you what kind of things they want more of, and all the EU wants is more evil. When it is illegal to fly the flag of your country, inside of your own country, but then the terrorist group Isil is allowed to fly their flag because "multiculturalism, respecting their freedom of expression" The EU is directly telling you that you are not supposed to exist anymore in your own country, but ((((evil things)))) are perfectly allowed, and meant to replace you!

Liverpool Labour MP Dan Carden 'denies' singing 'Hey Jews' to Beatles song

Singing "Hey, j00z" sounds more like he loves the jew was just trying to show his love by serenading it.
"Shdop yor auntie semitizum! If you want to show your love to me, Goy, then give me your money, believe a lot of lies, and be my slave!"

But the word "Jude" means "jews" so how is "hey Jude" and "hey jews" any different from each other anyway?

I think it's a nice song anyway. Isn't it telling them like "Don't worry, you'll be okay, everything is getting better for you now." ? So he really did a nice thing for them. What about it is rude or bad?
