So, a while back, I was on Archive.org and found free downloads for the Greek Magical Papyri, Magika Hiera, Ancient Geosophia parts 1 & 2, and seen others about the ancient magic practices by people like Stephen Skinner. I've skimmed thru all three, the PGM, Magika Hiera, and Ancient Geosophia. The first two seem to have no harmful stuff in them, that I can tell so far. The Ancient Geosophia book has sections about the grimoires which we know most are blasphemous to our Gods. But, other than those chapters on the grimoires, it seems most of the subject matter in these books are beneficial in learning about ancient practices. I'm going to research further into the authors and translators for these books, but I just wanted to check and see if anyone else had used these books as references or had read them in their studies. The PGM seems to be fairly popular among Hellenic pagans outside of the JOS, but that doesn't hold much weight as most don't know about spiritual warfare/misinformation. I know we should always use discernment with these kinds of things, but I just figured I'd ask to see if anyone else had checked these books out.
I love reading about ancient times and the way they lived so these books automatically pulled me in.
I was just wondering if anyone had ever actually done any of the spells in these books, as well?
I'm going to continue to flip through the books, and study into them more thoroughly. If anyone knows more about these books and the history on them, let me know! Any help with these is appreciated!
P.S. I also wanted to know if anyone else knows any other books on Greek Magic/Egyptian Magic that they know of, as I said, I love reading about the ancient age.
Thanks in advance, you guys! Much love, many blessings
