Did you do the ritual? Are you ready for daily spiritual practice? Or at least ready to put daily spiritual practice into your long term goals?
This is something in your gut, if you don't feel it now, you'll build it over time. Don't worry and keep calm throughout all struggles in life. You'll look back and see, even in your shortcomings the Gods are still bringing you up.
I'd recommend regular rituals. If you're in a place where that's not possible for whatever reason, ritualize your meditation sessions. You can do this anywhere, just recite the invocation, visualize blue lightning from the four cardinal directions, then do your meditation and then talk to Satan. Close the ritual however you like, but none of that requires a fancy altar, and ritualizing helps build your meditations into a daily practice and brings you closer to the Gods.
