from South China, about 1k years ago, We changed our surname to a Vietnamese one, We ruled the country for a couple hundred years and we defended the country 3 times against the mongols. We’ve lost a lot of power in the race also disrespected by our rivals which sold out the country to xians, I’m not sure how to go about doing this, I’m im USA so I don’t have to worry about social stigma from my understanding.Changing all my paper work is not a burden imo. I’ve done it before. I was just looking for advice from fellow Chinese SS how to go about this. I’m planning to learn the language but I don’t know if I am Han or maybe some other ethnic group. My grandfather knows but he won’t tell me. Should I just go with the obviously most common Cantonese or Mandarin surname or should I get him to spill the beans. I like both and don’t know an ethical way to choose-if there is one.I want to learn both cantonese and mandarin so I can can communicate. But I do want to learn both and have my children learn too. Thank you. Hail the Empire of Orion! 88!
