Hand Chakra Meditation

I'm having trouble figuring out what step #3 means, particularly what's meant by the pad of the thumb.
How do I put both of them into the hollow part of my palm?
Or is it more like pressing both palm heels together with the thumb pads connecting?

You press one time on the chakra, just so you feel it easier. Your Hands are not touching each other when you do the actual meditation.
