Gita is set in a narrative framework of dialogue between the pandava prince Arjuna and his charioteer guide Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu
The Hare Krishna mindset is very similar to the xian mindset and so on, so an explanation for why Bhagavadgita is held in high esteem by ToZ would be good actually.
And you're not wrong.I rarely use that term, but ISKCON is a cult.
This is the evidence. They don't allow you to read it and study it independently, but they insist that you read their "official" version, the book "Bhagavad Gita As It Is", written by theircultleader.
I thought that book was the "Bible" of the Hare Krishna religion. I have read it once long ago and I'm sure ToZ cannot agree with it fully in all it's teachings.
According to that book, this particular age we live in is not suited for higher forms of yoga (Kundalini etc.) or any other mantras than the Hare Krishna mantra etc.

That was the one I read.ISKCON (the official name of the Hare Krishna organization) has a strange interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita. They don't allow you to read it and study it independently, but they insist that you read their "official" version, the book "Bhagavad Gita As It Is", written by theircultleader.
I rarely use that term, but ISKCON is a cult. It's a fitting term to describe it. They don't represent even real Hinduism. There have been many ex-members who exposed it:

Muster Ninety plaintiffs and 400 additional claimants have filed claims against the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, ISKCON, the Hare Krishna movement, for alleged child abuse sufferedarticles1.icsahome.com
In the article below, a White woman says she was forced to marry a much older brown Indian man by that cult because they saw her as inferior. They don't see women as human, but as inferior animals with smaller brains:

There's much more but these are sufficient to show how ugly that cult is. There's child abuse and much more.
This should be posted as an important article for people here to read. The Bhagavad Gita is at the very least 8000 years older than the Hare Krishna movement, which is a modern piece of shit, not an ancient one.
As for its teachings, it's a mix of "we don't take these literally, as they do, but rather as allegories", "they have reframed things and likely poisoned the well in your mind by assigning meaning to the quotes and framing them in a certain way", "they purposely mistranslate things to force in concepts like sin", "most of these writings are at least somewhat corrupted over time" and "some mythologies will only make sense fully once one has a certain level of advancement to perceive them".
Meditate on each of these reasons.
This is actually very opposite to reality, and the ISKCON cult leaders know this. The quote that is used to justify this belief is not talking about the Kali Yuga, but the Treta Yuga.
In Kali Yuga, it is actually much more important to have personal power, and "rebelliously seeking enlightenment rather than accepting the mainstream traditions" is actually the optimal path to advance. Any actual Hindu Sadhakas (a term those who do direct Theurgy with the Hindu Gods rather than just attending temple and other average things) with some spiritual experience will tell you, as I've personally heard many of them correct this Bhagavad Gita misconception.
Yes, because it is a cult led by people who are a mix of absolute scammer and idiot misguided by the Enemy. "Krishna" was a spiritual concept, an aspect of a deity that is supposed to teach a specific lesson about a specific occult principle within the framework, not to be taken literally and absolutely not to be considered some Supreme God, as even most regular Hindus, let alone Sadhakas, let alone ToZ members, would tell you that that is retarded.
The issue really isn't that complex. Many "Hellenists" and "Norse Heathens" on tiktok just sing in the forest, pray to Aphrodite for beauty, and set aside bowls of fruit and bread for the Gods, which is absolutely not what these mythologies were trying to teach, because these people aren't smart enough to see things critically, and simply keep their low-level beliefs about Divinity but with a new coat of paint. Similarly so, many Hindus are driven into this cult because of the inherent corruption within Hinduism itself (much less than in Hare Krishna, but still present).
We go beyond that, understanding what these mythologies and religions were actually trying to teach: allegorical messages about the true Gods, to be understood in layers, and to expose individuals to symbols and knowledge that would help them advance according to their level and culture.

I've taken note of this before and it's interesting indeed. Poisoned leader and later on poisoned organization with child molesters etc.Although there are many questionable things about ISKCON, and I would not recommend getting involved with the organization, the leader Srila Prabhupada is one of the few Indians who is honest about the Vedic origins of the Europeans. He admits that the Europeans were Aryans descended from the Kshatriya caste (the caste of the avatars, Rama and Krishna, Dionysus and Heracles), and Hitler was justified in claiming himself as part of the Aryan race. He also mentions that Aboriginals corrupted the racial purity of the Aryans.
Prabhupada thought that he was poisoned right before he died, and this would make sense due to the number of Jews near him right before his death.
Here are some videos of his explaining the above.
