Great leader or not?

Something I want to ask quite sometime now( for historical purposes) is what to you think about Darius the first ,the king of Persia.
I couldn't find anything in the forums apart from a post of a member addressing him as a great leader but the thing is that from research on joogle I did it seems he was a Zoroastrian.So seens we know that Zoroastrianism was not gentile religion what is the thing with him?


Note:I post it there because Persia was an Asian country
