I had already talked a bit with taolvanswd on this topic but under "Advice to teen girls", so I made a seperate post on the continuation of the discussion here.
For anyone interested in joining the discussion, it's basically about how "control" and "suppression" are often confused/seen as the same thing.
Anyways, here my reply to taolvanswd's latest post:
"@Shael definitely seems interesting to be conversing about. Right now I am not sure what to reply to this due to tiredness.. however I do understand the part of not being understood and such.. but that is an issue for me to work on (although I think I am doing fine which is good)
If you want to speak about more personal things perhaps we should move the conversation elsewhere..
And.. I am not quite sure what else to speak about. So I'd say pick a topic?
As for suppression in general.. I think it should not be done 9/10 times because it creates so many problems, but rather 'channel' or move it in such a direction that it can not do harm to any plant or animal or person (that includes yourself)."
I agree. I also find it annoying how very often in anime etc. there is this protagonist with an "evil power" inside of him that needs to be suppressed. The idea of this is really everywhere.
Amusingly enough, I am using a similar concept to this in my current conquest of getting to my full power again. It involves self-hypnosis, and seeing my "suppressed" power as myself, but in chains, and then removing those chains while stating affirmations like "In a positive and healthy way I always have access to 100% of my true power." and so on.
By now I've already gotten quite a chunk of my power back, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon haha.
Anyways, suppression is definetly bad, and I would even say it's bad 100% of the time. The urge (or even idea) to suppress something in the first place is in my opinion only a product of jewish brainwashing and making people fear having power. If overwhelming power (such as from past lives) creates problems due to lacking control, one should create the necessary conditions to learn controling it, no matter what it takes. Thats only my personal opinion, though.
