Desire is certainly a powerful tool. Hell, I barely ever perform rituals or work spellcraft anymore as what I desire always finds a way of manifesting itself.

I'm not exaggerating, but I used to have an enormous amount of psychic power. I controlled everyone around me. But the thing was that my thoughts could be sensed by others and I had to keep my mind focused for most of the mind. I could of become a millionaire from there... I felt somewhat guilty for having anything I wanted. After a while I stopped focusing on my meditations and started busying myself with video games- the worst move I could ever make in my life. My power started to decline slowly. Now I sorely regret playing video games. Every time I think about how I lost my power I really want to commit suicide.

don't feel like that. I'm on the same path! meditation really helped but then came school and completely got me off the tracks so now i feel worse then i have ever felt. i haven't even been able to go into a trance.
but with a little work and sticking to it I'm sure that you can get back up. another thing is that if you keep focusing your energy anyway, it still counts as some form of practice, or at least its only way i have been able to keep my self at a level while i could not do meditations.
like some people here actually started at a really old age and still manage to do it, proof! that its never to late!!

Let me suggest that it is not the video games, but that you permitted them to 'take over' as it were, and became very unbalanced. (In fact video games are categorized as right brain exercises and rather good for you, if taken in context, and one is not addicted. I enjoy them, but they certainly don't play a major part in my life.)

Be encouraged, however, that all is not lost. Far from it. What you might want to do is go back to basics and reinstate your meditative program, starting now. Just take it easy. Sure you wasted some time; that doesn't mean your life is over. Far from it. One can change course AT ANY TIME. You acknowledged what the problem was; an excellent and vital first step; now it is time to move forward.

And do NOT feel guilty about manifesting your desires! Providing they are not harming those who have done nothing to you, you have every right to them, to enjoy the fruits of them.

Thank you both. This time I'll restart anew. I actually did think that it's impossible to regain my lost power again. I'll try and dig up the meditation experiences from my subconscious. I sincerely appreciate both of your posts.
