Counting mantra while doing mudra?

Is there any way to count mantras during doing mudras? One way I thought of is making a counter triggered by toe/feet/toe finger.

If you don't use too large numbers you can count rhythmically.
Try to think of four times

MAUM MAUM - MAUM MAUM

You want to get to 18 repetitions

[MAUM MAUM - MAUM MAUM]
[MAUM MAUM - MAUM MAUM]

This is eight repetitions. Do it again.
So it becomes 16 repetitions because you did it twice. To get to 18 you have to vibrate MAUM two more times. Do that and you are there.

That is what I do currently as you describe but wanted a simpler way if exists for longer times. Gotta look some way if I can solve this problem.

A method becomes simple with time. Nothing is complex and nothing is simple. It is only we who become more expert in a method and this is achieved by using the method. Those who are developing some siddhis know this well. As you use that method you will see that this continuous grouping system will become more and more orderly and you will be able to manage it better and better. :)
 
If you can't keep count, it means that you're distracted and not paying attention.
I can keep a count for mantras on ToZ, but there are others that are really long. I usually can count up to 8-9 using my feet but that doesn't work when I try to sit on chair or lay down or when I am not in cross legged sitting position.

For long mantras:
Finished vibrating a long mantra (e.g. AUM KLIM KAMADEVAYA NAMA) stop, visualize 1 in your mind. Look at that 1, maybe even hear a voice saying 1. It will stick in your mind that that is repetition 1. I think if you can keep yourself focused you can easily get to 49 repetitions. But over time.
Start with just 8. Then go to 10. Then 15, then 18, and so on. At medium intervals and short intervals in between alternate. Try it and let me know. Take a year to get to perfection. Don't try to succeed in a month. At least 240 days give yourself
