Confused. I have a couple questions I need help with if possible

I would like to get in touch, privately, with an experienced Satanist.  There are a couple questions I have that I don't want to write here because people may misinterpret why I am asking these questions and I think that an  experienced Satanist would be the best person to help me see clearly.  I don't usually go online to talk with people (keep to myself) but now that I have found the truth (thank you Joy of Satan web site!), I am wanting to learn more and maybe touch bases with others like myself.  Because I am not used to online discussions, I'm not very good at it and don't know how to get in touch with others directly.  I just have a couple questions that I would really like help with.

Well, you may ask me, if you so desire. ^ I have been a Satanist for 7
years now. Although, this group is for asking questions; that is its
purpose, I Understand being shy and all that. One question, though,
which I only ask because it will better help me understand where you
are actually coming from, so to speak. Are you dedicated? As in, have
you performed the actual dedication rite? If not, that's perfectly
fine; I am just asking because, as I say, it will help me to
understand your position a little better. Are you strictly academic at
this stage, or are you on board with our Father? Don't take offense; I
mean none. As I say, feel free to e-mail me privately! I will attempt,
to the best of my ability, to answer whatever questions you may have.

*looks sheepish* Well, I just always address him like that. 'Cause,
you know, he oversees the Black Sun, and it burns, and well, yeah.
See, because the first time that I ever met him, (he is my
patron/guardian), I asked him what his "job description" was, 'cause
there was very little on the Jos site about him; and he told me
things. I cannot remember verbatim, because he told me many things on
that one night. But basically, he told me about how he governed all of
the supposed miraculous phenomena; just another level of human
consciousness that one needs to tap into. And he mentioned dark
matter, and something about magnetics/magnetism; he said that the
Black Sun, or Black Flame, consumes,but it also creates. Honestly, I
do not know where the "One Who Burns" thing came from, but he does not
seem to mind if I call him that, so I continue to do so. I do so out
of respect, always!

If I am invoking, or evoking, him, since I am blind, I cannot
visualize sigils very well at all, I address him in this fashion,and
he always comes to me: "Sorath, Closer of Doors, Lord of All Suns
That Burn, Knower of All Things Unknowable".

I am new to Satanism as well and have only just made the Dedication but one thing I particularly love is the way there are no set formulas or set wordings for doing things so long as what you address to Satan or other Daemons come from the heart and a right intention they respond. You dont have to worry about 'getting it right' you can borrow ideas and wording from other sources but every one of us can be as creative and inventive as we like. In fact its better because what comes from within us is more likely to be effective than what has come from someone else. That is a beautiful and poetic invocation Im not surprised he answers Allison

You shouldn't borrow wordings from sources outside of the JoS. It's either useless, or dangerous. There's only one time you can really put your own words in there, that's when you do personal prayers to Father Satan, or speak in Enochian which can also be personal words.

There's a reason why it's mapped out on the JoS exactly the way it is. I believe you got the wrong idea.. Not that I am patronizing you, I'm totally not, nor would any other member here if they had gotten here before me.

It's worded exactly like that because people have to follow it that way. Every system has it's protocol. I'm just trying to keep you informed. Although if you messed up a few words because you forgot or something in the Dedication Ritual you're fine. If you did this in the Dedication Ritual anyways then you're still fine. Still though, the exact wording should be followed for good reasons.
