Right now, you should be focused on cultivating your Qi and have a solid foundation in it to reach the foundation establishment stage. Otherwise, forget about cultivating till Nascent soul stage in your lifetime where you can summon winds as you please, fly and destroy your enemies at the wave of your hand.
Why do we cultivate you ask ? It is of course, to go against the heavens and destroy fate. It is said that a human's actions from birth to its permanent death is all supervised by the heavens or the fate. However, junior are you really satisfied with something that is not you controlling you ? Who are you ? Are you a puppet dancing to the rhythm of the string or are you a brave cultivator rebelling against all that goes against your freedom ?
It has also been said that we humans aren't supposed to live forever. For years, we have watched our friends and lovers continuing their cycle of reincarnation till they exhaust themselves and return to elements. How can we accept that ? How can we bear to part with our family and all the joys of life ? Cultivating for eternal life is something each and every sentient being in this universe have to do at some point in their life. We are not called immortals without reason.
Anyone who says that life gets boring or desensitizing probably couldn't cultivate to immortality themselves and are jealous of those who are immortals. Do not listen to those bitter foxes.
By far the most important reason to cultivate is to protect your family and lovers from the aliens. What's that ?, a pretty surprised look on your face I see, junior. That's right, our planet has been invaded by the enemy aliens millennias ago. Those enemy aliens are called reptilians and greys under whom are filthy degenerated jews who have kept attacking cultivation sects for thousands of years. These cultivation schools were where we were taught the laws of nature and all the knowledge about spirituality. This couldn't be digested by the hooked nose bastards and their jealousy compels them to do all there is to remove us from our roots of human inheritance i.e. spirituality and cultivation knowledge.
It is said that the ancient era was called the golden age of immortals. It was the age where our ancestors did labor to relax themselves, not for work or for gaining produce. Knowledge was aplenty and free. People sowed what they reaped in that age. Advanced cultivators were common and seen roaming the streets of ancient civilization. Cultivation schools were also common where the basic requirement to enter them was to move an object with your mind. The school of knowledge didn't reject anyone regardless of their status and whether poor or rich. However, it all changed when the enemy attacked.
This so called heaven's will is nothing but a veil devised by those filthy and disgusting jews designed to
hamper each and every living cultivator there is to advance spiritually. Do not make the grave mistake of thinking that it is something natural or from mother Earth. It is from the enemy aliens who fear us of our great power. Our fight is to permanently lift it, destroy it and make it devoid of any and all power and influence.
If we don't fight them, they will come and take all that is ours. You give an inch and they take a mile. Do not even think about compromising with these spawns of degradation. You are not fit to be called a cultivator if you don't fight against the common enemy of the cultivation alliance. Anyone who fights them bravely is awarded with many spiritual gifts which far triumph any divine pills, magic tools or cultivation manuals.
Therefore, come junior, with fellow cultivators by your side, let us stomp these hideous hooked nosed gross bearded bastards who dare hinder us from immortality and most importantly the path of endless advancement.
Seriously speaking, It is pretty easy to get addicted to these manhuas. One thing I noticed is that these concepts of cultivation and immortality is allowed however the moment any author says a single negative word about their country, such a book is immediately banned without exception and regardless of popularity. In one of the novels, What the author did is it made one of the villains originating from China and such a fact completely pissed the CCP and it banned the book.
This is interesting to me and I can't help but connect it with astral. If people read the book, they would think China bad and what not. And from China they would think of CCP ? Maybe this could damage the CCP in astral which they fear with all their being ?. Of course, this is just an hypothesis. If this hypothesis is true, then it would seem to be that these communist bastards are scared shitless of their own citizen and their tight show of authority is nothing but an act behind which lies endless fear.
They also can't tolerate any books which promotes about going against the system. Like there was a novel called which talked about how joining an organization and being loyal to a certain 'contribution points system' is an endless vicious cycles and that its a swamp.
You will never get the rare valuable immortal resources and that such a system manipulates human psychology in such a way that the most valuable resource gained with the highest contribution points bears a lot of weight and importance to the victim but in truth the said resource is of average value and deigned average in worth by the elites enjoyed by them aplenty. This lowers the value of a certain thing in people's mind and they get excited about something average just because it ranks high in contribution point while the truly valuable resources are controlled by these elites who issued such a "Contribution point system" in the first place.
The protagonist also kept pissing off the base of the enemy(main base of the CCP) and made them suffer endless losses. This might also be one of the reasons for banning the book.
On a serious note, move with caution. These novels promote immortality and what not but they make it seem impossible to attain. Like you will hear about realms after realms of cultivation but never true immortality. You could cultivate thousands, ten thousands or millions of years but still can't gain true immortality with endless lifespan. With every realm you advance, you only gain hundreds of years of lifespan and have to break through to the next realm within this newly gained limited lifespan. It becomes an endless vicious cycle. This manipulates the psychology of the common people in that they start affirming in their mind that immortality is impossible or difficult to gain. This is an enemy tactic and an attack on the human psychology, a psychological warfare. In truth and in reality, immortality is definitively achieved and while it may take some more time to achieve than others, it definitely doesn't take thousands and thousands of years.
Another thing that I noticed is that these cultivation novels depict cultivators as cruel and cold killing machines who only think about infighting to snatch valuable immortal resources. Friends easily turn on their allies for resources and there is plenty of infighting between sects. In these novels, most others cultivators only move for their interests and easily slaughter without remorse for resources. This again, feels like an enemy tactic making the common mind think that people who use magic and fly are cruel and subconsciously get repulsed to such kind of concepts. This manipulates the sub conscious to think that magick is bad and people who use magick are also bad which directly affects the subconscious mind. And isn't subsconscious mind related to astral ?
The mortals are treated as ants by the cultivators, easily killed by their snorts and 'hmphs'. They don't have much value and are treated as resources by the 'Demonic sects' to cultivate their filthy techniques and what not. You will also notice that the bad sects aren't called "Evil Sects" or any other "Bad sect" but "Demonic Sects".
Also if you look at the quality of these cultivation novels, you will realize that most of them are trash. It is hard to find good quality cultivation novels. It is easily filled with brain numbing cliques such as offending the young master, jade beauties and what not. If you consume cabbage everyday, you become like a cabbage. Such novels after some point in time do not offer any literary or knowledgeable values.
Here are some of the concepts I have found to be attacks, disgusting or misdirection in these novels :
1. Demonic sects are vilified. It is the Demonic sects that commit horrible and atrocious deeds, definitely not the pure and noble righteous sects who lynch the common people with open arms. They also depict demons as something to be subjugated, controlled or killed. This is an attack against Satan and his demons. Though such an attack isn't limited to this novel.
Example - Out of 10 cultivation novels, 9 will have such slander against Demons. Rarely will you find a novel where demons are cool or painted as the good guys, maybe none.
Warlock of the magus world and Demon's diary. The former directly tries to slander the gods by their name and the mc literally cultivates a 'cube' in his early stages.
2. Using aphrodisiacs that accidentally got eaten by the girl which was definitely not intended by the pure and humble main lead which led to forced sex or manipulated sex. Using aphrodisiacs is also used a pretext for rape. In some novels the main heroine is injured and the protagonist decides that sex is the answer and thus commits rape.
Example - ATG (Against the Gods)
3. These novels are also obsessed with petite 13 year or 15 year old looking heroines who in truth are thousands of years of old. This promotes pedophilia to the mass mind.
Example - Any trash tier garbage novels.
4. In some trash novels, women with heaven defying spirit roots(innate spiritual talent) are forcefully abducted or lured into being an furnace for the main protagonist or some other characters.
Example - Renegade immortal, Demon's Diary.
5. You will find plenty of nationality in these novels. The main characters gets a hard on for his communist nation and does things which makes their communist nation proud. Of course it won't be blatant but disguised and subtle. You will see that the "Western" cultivators are bad and villains and people from far East(Japan) are also villains. Japanese are hated a lot by the way.
6. One of the gravest misdirection built into such books is the whole concept of cultivation. In these books, its always cultivation of technique, cultivation of divine treasure, cultivation of dao and cultivation of each and everything there is except the cultivation of self. It is never about the cultivation of self and the powers of mind in these novels. To advance and move into the next realm, you have to get the divine flower of jade lotus to get into the next realm or get divinie treasure of thousand nirvana to simulate your spiritual qi for breaking through. Its always get x to move to y realm.
However, to this day, I have read not a single book which specially emphasizes on the cultivation of soul and the powers of mind. Its always about resources. Without resources, forget about cultivation. When in truth any one from any walk of life can cultivate their soul regardless of talent and no physical resources is needed. Things like bowl of water, mirrors, candles can be afforded by anyone and most of these are mostly used in intermediate or advanced stages except when first dedicating.
Perhaps, the concept of "No resource, No cultivation" or suppressing the knowledge that "Anyone can cultivate regardless of resources or talent" is the main purpose of allowing these books to be circulated by the enemy.
7. It is said that only one mortal out of one hundred thousand others can have the spiritual affinity to cultivate. Even then, his/her talent is probably poor and probably can't achieve much. Only those who are one in a million can cultivate with higher potential and speed. This again imprints into the mass mind that magic is something extremely rare and only few can cultivate. If you ask the average Joe "Can you do magic ?" He will respond with " Are you an idiot ? There's no magic in this world"
However, still, deep in his mind, it has been imprinted that magic is something extremely rare even though he just said that there's no magic in this world. What's imprinted in his subconscious could manifest in astral or affect it.
Wow, as I continue listing out, even I am surprised by the numbers of attacks onto humanity just in a single genre.
8. Cultivation is depicted to be pursuit that comes packaged with loneliness and desolateness. To move onto a higher realm, you have to return to your roots of being a caveman and sit in the same place in a cave for tens of thousands of years. Only then can you advance into the next stage. Forget about meeting with your friends and family during this period. Having sex is a no-no as it will exhaust your 'yang' energy much needed to break through into the next realm, lol.
That said, there are some good merits to these cultivation novels. The comprehension of knowledge which they simple dub as 'dao'. Comprehending philosophical concepts and applying it to increase their power is something I am fond of. At least it promotes the gaining of knowledge.
My favorite thing about it is going against the heavens or going against anything that tries to exert control over you. Rebellion against the fate and what not, there's something about it that deeply attracts me.
I read about HP Cobra's sermon on how facebook, instagram, youtube etc are all tools for psychological warfare. The algorithm is designed such that one gets lost in it and wastes a lot of time. Time which could be used for waking up and spirtitually advancing. I wouldn't put cultivation novels and manhuas past such tools. They have thousands of chapters and plethora of mind numbing content, most of which are garbage or trash not offering any literary or knowledgeable values which wastes a lot of valuable time. Perhaps weeks and months. And for every trash quality cultivation novel you read, 10 of the same same novels is written in the timeframe.
The most important thing to take from this passages of text is that the enemy wouldn't allow such concepts of cultivation and immortality if it didn't benefit them or if it harmed their interests.
