How are we supposed to create anonymous youtube accounts that don't use our phone number? Is there a quick and easy online solution?

You still have to use your phone number to create an account. How do I get around that? Is no one else worrying about a rabbi at youtube looking up their account?

No you don't. All you need to do is use your Gmail account, or new one. Simply don't add your phone as recovery option in the Gmail privacy/security settings.
I use a secondary phantom Gmail account for things like this, with the absolute minimum amount of information. Always use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) when using internet browser and mobile apps. Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. collect your app information and give it to third parties.

  • Skip the Phone Number Verification:
    • During the sign-up process, Google may prompt you to add a phone number for verification or recovery purposes. This is optional, but Google often encourages it for security.
    • Look for an option to skip this step. Depending on the interface, you might see a button or link that says “Skip,” “No thanks,” or “Continue without a phone number.” Click this to proceed without entering a phone number.
    • If you’re unable to find a clear “Skip” option, you can try:
      • Leaving the phone number field blank and clicking “Next.”
      • If prompted again, look for a checkbox or text link (e.g., “I don’t want to provide a phone number”) and select it.
  • Use a Recovery Email Instead (Optional):
    • If Google insists on a recovery method, you can provide an alternate email address (not a Gmail address) as a recovery email. This is often easier than skipping entirely and still provides a way to recover your account if needed.
    • To do this, enter a non-Gmail email address when prompted for recovery information, then click “Next” to continue.
  • Complete the Verification Process:
    • Google may send a verification email to the email address you used (or the recovery email, if provided). Follow the instructions in the email to verify your account.
    • If you skipped both phone and email recovery, you might still need to verify via email or CAPTCHA to confirm you’re not a bot.

If this is not an option, try it on computer if you are using phone, or change your local to USA or somewhere else in the world that might make it possible to skip this step.
