In Spiritual Alchemy there are 12 steps and 13th is a hidden one which consist of 3 main stages of Magnum Opus which are nigredo, albedo and rubedo. Each step is said to be connected to a particular Zodiac Sign.
In general knowledge these are the steps and their correspondence to the Zodiac.
1 - Aries - Calcination
2 - Sagittarius - Incineration
3 - Cancer - Solution
4 - Scorpio - Separation
5 - Taurus - Congelation
6 - Capricorn - Fermentation
7 - Leo - Digestion
8 - Virgo - Distillation
9 - Libra - Sublimation
10 - Gemini - Fixation
11 - Aquarius - Multiplication
12 - Pisces - Projection
Yet there seems to be corruption involved in this general knowledge. Why is Capricorn the 6th one when Capricorn is the sign used to mark the beginning and end of the Alchemical year? I'd like to request HP or advanced members to elaborate on this subject if possible.
