This isn't a contest. We should be helping people because we have something of worth or value to add that aids the person asking the questions.
We aren't competing or trying to pump up our egos because we need validation to feel good about ourselves. Nor do we help so we sound important or whatever, None of that matters, all that matters is steering people in the right direction and giving them the help they need.
I'm not trying to sound harsh, I'm just trying to express the importance of the situation. I hope this clears up any confusion you may have in regards to the subject.
It's just better to be of service to the community to help assist people in their personal growth. Even if a question has been answered it's ok to still add your own perspectives on it. Everyone coming together to help each other in support is worth more than any "competition".
We shouldn't focus on how many people answer questions or how much more detailed their advice is than someone else, because that's missing the point of why we're trying to help. If anything, we should learn from the people who give really good advice and emulate that in our own responses so that we can improve our input for people who need help. This I feel is a better idea and a better approach.
