You can do it at the compos mentis age you prefer. So yes, 15 years old is fine. Fourteen is also okay, and so on. The 18-year-old thing is purely a privacy thing. Some people live in ultra-Christian bigoted families and have no privacy so they are advised to wait until 18 to dedicate themselves (i.e., when the State recognizes your right to be free of your choices and not under parental control).
