Focus on their sigil, but if they do not have a sigil available to look at, focus on Father Satanas sigil and ask him to make sure that what you say, that it goes directly to that specified God and then just talk to them in your mind.

I would add to the things you have already been told that ritual objects are just an unnecessary addition if you lack privacy. You can also perform the same steps as: 1) Staring at the Sigil of the Demon 2) Reciting his Name with your eyes closed while viewing the Sigil 3) Reciting the summoning prayer to Satan...
...even without necessarily having the props if you cannot.

If your Astral Sensors are not strong enough to perceive such Energies, you may find yourself feeling as if the Demon did not appear and you were ignored. But there is no need to worry, this is not the case. The Demon may indeed not show up if he was busy and had a reason, but he will hear you anyway and come to you in a way that you will understand. Summoning a Demon can be done by beginners and Adepts alike. It is still best to do it in a private setting, as it is an extremely personal process. And at first do it at night, because at night the Right Hemisphere, the center of Psychic Power, more active, and the night is perfect for many Rituals and to communicate with many Demons. To communicate with a Demon unfamiliar to you personally, which you will Evocate for the first time, it is important to conduct a Ritual. Later, when contact is established, the Ritual is no longer necessary. You can simply focus your Consciousness on the Sigil Demon or on his/her Energies.
