Like all those who have learned and created the habit of entering a trance state. Many SS here have preponderance of Air and Fire element in their Soul that can make the mind “overactive.” Void meditation and breathing exercises are crucial in calming the mind.
The method I use to enter trance is this: breathing exercise to help ease tension in my body and put me in the right mental condition. I perform this lying down; I know that this way I risk falling asleep, but I find it easier. If you prefer, you can do it sitting down instead.
I start by inhaling energy of a deep blue color. When I exhale, I feel this energy spread out and loosen and release tension and stiffness. I always start with the extremities: arms and legs. When I have no more sensation of tension coming from here, I move to the central part of my body and repeat. Finally, when I have released the tensions here too, I repeat the above in the face.
It takes practice, it took me several years to reach a decent level, but we are all different so it may be that you don't need that much time. In any case, always persist.
