There is a reason for some people to be helped, like old people and children who are desperate and have no other choice. Or people with serious physical disabilities. But somebody in a wheelchair can still do all kinds of office worker type jobs, so there is no reason for all of these people to just sit at home and have their entire lives paid for.
The majority of people who take that welfare money are really just worthless and lazy. They have no job only because they don't want to have a job, and they would rather sit at home all day consuming drugs and alcohol. These people are parasites, and their existence is a crime and a harm against the rest of civilization. Any type of "universal" welfare that is given to all people is completely fictional and not effective, because this is all repaid by taxes taken from everyone, and creating inflation that makes everybody's money less valuable. You can't get something from nothing, money does not just magically appear.
