Correct. I find holding it with my thumb to be easier, but I would use the picture as a guide to initially locate the point, rather than as a way to hold it.

Fascinating. I did a lung-busting workout yesterday after a short hiatus from working out, and consequently, my lungs/airways got very stressed. I just tested this and it seems that directing energy via this acupoint helped a bit.

Thank you. This really interests me because I suffer from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), but I am confused because I see the Lu.7 point being pressed by the index finger, not by the thumb. Could anyone please "enlighten" me a little here? Thank you guys!

@Blue Either can work. I personally find the thumb more comfortable, but the index finger example is shown as an easy way to find the point itself.

@Henu the Great Thank you for sharing. Within the given sources it also lists that it helps the lungs "descending function", which I assume refers to getting it into a calm state. I have had a similar experience where it seems to calm the breathing.
